Hiroshi Fujita returned to Fife, Washington in 1945. He farmed for ten years and then did yard maintenance work until his retirement. His dream was to obtain his degree in Engineering and then work in Brazil.

Fujita and his wife Katsumi had two children. Fujita was president of the Tacoma Buddhist Temple for six years.
