Takasuke Eugene Amabe served in the army., entering the service in August 1944. He studied Japanese at the Military Intelligence Service Language School in Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
Takasuke Eugene Amabe died at Fort Snelling on 29 April 1945 and is buried at the Evergreen-Washelli Cemetary in Seattle.
