Mammalian Species Index

Mammalian Species has been published by the American Society of Mammalogists since 1969. Each issue describes a species in detail with the following information: scientific name and the date named, context and content, diagnosis, general characters, distribution, fossil record, form, function, ontogeny and reproduction, ecology, behaviour, literature cited.

The Mammalian Species issues are available full text online and in the Natural Sciences Library Periodicals, call number QL708 M34.

Issues 1-631 are available full text from Smith College. Issues from number 632 (2000- ) are available full-text from BioOne. UW restricted.
