Name:	All names are entered in alphabetical order, the last name first, using McCune-Reischauer romanization system
Year of Birth:	The year of the birth of each individual is calculated from the age given in the statement during an inquiry. On the assumption that the age given to the court was Korean age, I have deducted one year from the age given. Though not always accurate, this provides useful information about each individual.
Volumes:	There is no pagination given throughout the entire volumes. Each book is arbitrarily divided into two parts, indicated in the Guide as -1 or -2 following volume number. For example, when a name appears in the first half of volume 5, we record it as 5-1 and when it appears in the second half of the same volume, we record it as 5-2.
