Coverage area includes Washington State, Oregon, western Idaho, Alaska and British Columbia and spans the late 1890's until around 1997, depending on city. (Note: This database is a listing of the phonebooks held in Special Collections only, and does not contain names of people or businesses)
Search tip:To browse all phonebooks for a particular state, enter the two digit abbreviation (WA, AK, ID, OR) in the Keywords box. For British Columbia, enter the abbreviation B.C.
If you're not sure how to spell a particular city name, click on the Browse Terms button to view a list of terms. To jump to a particular letter of the alphabet, put that letter in the "find" box and click the GOTO button. Once you have found your term in the list, click on the term and press the PASTE button and then CLOSE to copy the term to the search field.
